FM2224 - 24-Port 10-Gigabit Ethernet Switch Chip
The FM2224 fully-integrated single-chip wire-speed 10-Gigabit Ethernet switch chip leads the market in low-latency intelligent switching, delivering cut-through latency as low as 200ns. With its robust layer-2 switching capabilities and the ubiquity of Ethernet, the FM2224 fits comfortably in a number of existing and emerging applications. And, with the unprecedented level of integration, it removes the cost barrier for rapid and far-reaching 10G Ethernet deployment. The FM2224 has 24 interfaces that can independently function in 10G XAUI, or 10/100/1000/2500 SGMII modes.

FM2224 Reference Designs
The compact and complete reference designs for the FocalPoint FM2224 10G Ethernet Interconnect can be used to rapidly and exhaustively evaluate the performance and flexibility of the FM2224, either in a test environment or a live data center network. The "Reno" platform contains 24 CX4 connectors in a 1U rack-mountable chassis, and can be ordered with software installed and ready to run.
