FM2103 - 6-Port Multi-Speed Ethernet Switch Chip

The FM2103 Ethernet switch chip offers the same level of high performance and low latency as all other members of the FocalPoint family, but with a mix of ports optimized for low-cost line card switching applications, such as GPON, DSL, and ATCA form-factor designs. The FM2103 has four interfaces that can independently function in 2.5G and 10/100/1000 modes and two that can also function in 10G mode.

FM2103 Features
  • The industry’s lowest latency
    • 200ns, ball to ball
  • 2 XAUI (CX4) interfaces
    • Up to 10Gbps per interface
    • CX4 compliant for copper cable support (up to 15m)
    • Supports per-port overspeed up to 12.5Gbps
    • Also supports 2.5G, and 10/100/1000 modes per interface
  • 4 SGMII interfaces
    • Single SerDes pair (lane) per interface
